Casefleet’s Document Intelligence tool uses AI to suggest facts and information that may be useful to include in your case chronology.

Viewing Suggested Facts

Once Document Intelligence has been run on a source uploaded to your case, you can view a list of suggested facts for the document directly in the Document Viewer. Launch the document, then click the appropriate icon in the toolbar to display a list AI-generated fact suggestions extracted from the document.

You can narrow down long lists of suggested facts by leveraging the filters at the top of the suggested facts sidebar. Suggested facts can be filtered by text, entities, or issue tags.

Note: For the best results when using Document Intelligence, we recommend ensuring your documents are processed with OCR prior to running Document Intelligence. This ensures the most accurate text recognition is used when generating suggested facts. While not required, please keep in mind that a document cannot be reprocessed after Document Intelligence has been performed.

Each suggested fact in the list includes:

  1. An AI-generated fact statement, paraphrased from the original document text

  2. A direct quote of the text used by the AI to generate the suggested fact

  3. A link to quickly jump to the precise location referenced in the suggested fact

  4. A proof score (1-5), where a second AI comments on the trustworthiness of the suggested fact based on the document’s text

  5. A list of Entities and Issues tags related to the suggested fact

Accepting a Suggested Fact

To add a suggested fact as an actual fact in your case chronology, click the “Accept” button at the top of the card. This will launch the “Create new fact” sidebar prefilled with the information provided for the suggested fact.

Mentioned entities or suggested issue tags already in your case will be automatically included in the created fact. From there, you can review and modify the text, apply Issue tags, add or edit a date, and assign relevant entities. Once you’ve made your edits, click “Save” to add the fact to your case chronology.

On your Facts tab, you’ll see a note indicating when a fact was created using Casefleet’s Suggested Fact tool:

Dismissing a Suggested Fact

Alternatively, you can dismiss the suggested fact to remove it from the suggested facts pane by clicking the trash icon on the suggested facts card. Deleting a suggested fact for a document will remove the fact suggestion for all users.

Suggested Facts are never saved automatically. You’re always in control of what gets added to your chronology. If a suggestion isn’t relevant, you can either ignore or delete the suggested fact. Skipping keeps the suggestion in the document so you can review it again later if needed. Deleting it removes the suggested fact for all users.
