Linking the applicable entity(s) to a fact is crucial to maximizing analysis and reporting power in Casefleet. When you link your entities, you'll be able to use filters to see connections and sift through hundreds (or thousands) of facts instantaneously to locate those involving a particular entity. You'll also be able to create work products for witness preparation or examination.
Linking Entities via the @ Symbol
To link an entity, use the @ symbol as you type your fact to access a drop-down list of the entities in your case. Then select the entity to link it to your fact.
When you link an entity using the "@" symbol, you'll see the entity's name appear in purple in your chronology on the Facts page.

NOTES:
An entity's @-name is editable on the entity's record. For example, if you have an entity named "Thomas Jefferson" but you don't want to see @thomasjefferson in the memo each time you edit the fact, you could edit the @-name so that only @tjefferson appears.
@-Names are unique to each entity in your account.
Using the Autolink Entity Feature
If your fact text includes the exact Name and/or Alias, you will see a prompt above the Fact field to autolink the entity.
Clicking the autolink option will replace the name in the selected fact text with the appropriate @Name for the matching entity in the case, ensuring the entity record is properly mapped to the fact in question.
Once an entity has been linked in a Fact, hover over the contact name to display an entity card with more details about the selected entity.
