Working with Citations
When the AI Assistant provides citations in its responses, you can take immediate action to capture the referenced information for use in your case work.
Creating Facts from Citations: Click on any Source citation to launch the Document Viewer, which will take you directly to the highlighted location in the source document. From there, you can create a new fact directly from the cited information, eliminating manual transcription and reducing errors.
Copying Text from Citations: You can also copy text directly from cited passages for use in other documents, briefs, or notes. This option appears alongside fact creation when you navigate to a citation.
Note: Fact creation and text copying prompts are only available in the Standard (PDF/DOCX) document reviewer for sources processed with Document Intelligence.
Exporting Conversations
AI Assistant provides multiple export options to preserve conversations for use outside of Casefleet. All citations are preserved exactly as they appear in the original chat.
Full Conversation Export: Export complete conversations using three formats:
Copy to Clipboard: Paste directly into other applications while preserving formatting and citations
Export to PDF: Create a formatted PDF document for sharing or case files
Export to DOCX: Generate a Word-compatible document for further editing
Individual Response Export: Hover over any specific AI response to access the same export options for that single answer. This is useful when you want to share specific insights without the full conversation context.
Tips & Tricks
Export Strategy: For conversations with multiple valuable insights, consider exporting the full conversation for reference and then selectively creating facts from the most important citations.
Processing Recommendations: To maximize capture functionality, run Document Intelligence processing on documents that require the most scrutiny before using the AI Assistant.
