Templates and default settings can save you time and help keep your case files organized. In CaseFleet, you can create default issue tags that are automatically applied to each new case you create, as well as maintain a library of claim templates to quickly apply based on the relevant concerns for each case file.

This article covers the following:

Setting Your Default Issues

In CaseFleet, an account administrator can curate a list of default issue tags that automatically appear in each new case created in the account. Default issues are standalone tags and are not nested under a particular claim grouping.

Examples of default issues that may be useful to have included in each case are "background", "key facts", or "undisputed".

Both claim and issue templates are created from Account Settings under the link for "Issues".

Creating Claim Templates

Claim templates allow you to create a reusable library for the types of claims you regularly handle, such as wrongful death, sexual harassment, or breach of contract. For each claim template you create, you'll include the name of the claim and list the issues relevant to the claim grouping.

For example, if you are a personal injury attorney, you might create a claim template for "negligence". Among issues you would include within the claim of negligence are "duty", "breach", "causation" and "damages."

Claim templates are created and managed by an administrator in Account Settings. To create a claim template, visit Account Settings > Issues. Next, click the "Create Claim" button on the upper-right side of the screen and add the type of claim (e.g. breach of contract, discrimination, medical malpractice).

Once the template is created it is available to select on every subsequent case you open, saving you the time of recreating the same claims/issue tags manually in each new case file.

Adding Claim Templates to a Case

Once you've set up claim templates, anytime you open a new case you can select from your template library to automatically populate an outline of the relevant claims and issues for that case.
